Things have been quickly escalating in the Energon Universe’s G.I. JOE series. Now with February’s G.I. JOE #4 the connection with the rest of the Energon Universe will continue to grow. That is something seen in the preview for G.I. JOE #4 that Skybound and Image Comics has provided to us to share.
As mentioned, the creative team of Joshua Williamson, Tom Reilly, and Jordie Bellaire are teasing a greater integration of the Transformers. That is shown in the solicitation for G.I. JOE #4:

From the chart-topping, critically acclaimed creative team of writer Joshua Williamson (Duke, Cobra Commander), artist Tom Reilly (Duke) and colorist Jordie Bellaire (Duke, W0rldtr33), the next issue of the comic book introducing a bold new vision of G.I. Joe and Cobra to the Energon Universe will hit comic books shelves on February 19, 2025.

JOE #4 will feature an open-to-order variant cover by David Finch & Adriano Lucas; an open-to-order variant cover by Derrick Chew; the final cover of the 1:10 incentive connecting cover series by David Nakayama; a 1:25 incentive variant by Travis Moore & Adriano Lucas; and a 1:50 incentive variant by E.J. Su.
G.I. JOE is a tentpole of the Energon Universe, the crown jewel of the historic collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, who has introduced a brand-new era of the TRANSFORMERS and G.I.
