March 2025 Comic Book Sales Rankings

March 2025 Comic Book Sales Rankings

It is time to check out the March 2025 comic book sales rankings. Things are getting murkier in terms of actual unit numbers. So, we must settle for going to ICv2 for their Top 200 sales rankings. It is not as good as actual unit numbers, but we must work with what we get.

Keep in mind that the Top 200 sales rankings are based on sales tracked at point-of-sale by the ComicHub system at over 125 local comic book shops selling American comics. These sales rankings represent sales to consumers by local comic shops.

We all know that these ICv2 sales charts based on the ComicHub system are not the best. However, as long as publishers hide their sales statistics, this is the best that we have to go by. You do see that these sales charts give a rough sketch of the market because titles that get canceled correspond with low sales rankings in these ComicHub charts. I wish we had better data to analyze, but we have to make do with whatever data we have these days.

The data for the March 2025 comic book sales rankings was collected based on a five-week month, from March 2 to April 5, 2025.

You can go over to ICv2 and check out the Top 50 for March 2025 for free, or opt for a pro membership (It is well worth the money) and get the Top 200 for March 2025, and then come back here for a detailed analysis of the March 2025 comic book sales rankings!

March 2025 Top 200 Comic Book Sales Rankings

The Battle for the Top 10

Sweet baby Jesus! DC Comics annihilated all the competition in the Top 10! DC Comics placed seven comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were up from the four comics that DC Comics had in the Top 10 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up by a massive margin, as DC Comics had one comic in the Top 10 in March 2024.

Numbers were also up from two years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 10 in March 2023.

Numbers were up by a wide amount from three years ago, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

This was a stunning win in the Top 10. I do not even remember the last time DC Comics whipped Marvel Comics’ ass in the battle for the Top 10. The Absolute Universe powered DC Comics’ Top 10 win. Six of DC Comics’ seven comics in the Top 10 were Absolute Universe titles.

Marvel Comics took a beating and came in second place with just three comics in the Top 10. Month-over-month sales were down from the five comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 10 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had seventeen comics in the Top 25 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 25 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had twenty-one comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

The Battle for the Top 25 was much like a college football game where the Top 25 team plays some small school and sleepwalks through the 1st quarter and quickly falls behind the small school. Then the Top 25 school wakes up and mounts a comeback in the second quarter.

That is what Marvel Comics did to DC Comics as it surged past DC Comics by placing eleven comics between spots 11 and 25 compared to DC Comics’s paltry three comics.

DC Comics placed ten comics in the Top 25. Month-over-month sales were up from the seven comics that DC Comics had in the Top 25 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had two comics in the Top 25 in March 2024.

Marvel Comics placed thirty-four comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the thirty-three comics that Marvel Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were down, as Marvel Comics had thirty-five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-two comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had thirty-five comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

To continue our football analogy, the Battle for the Top 50 was like the second half of a game where the Top 25 team fell behind the small school early in the first half and then came out in the second half and completely blew out the small school.

Marvel Comics placed thirty comics in between spots 11 and 50, while DC Comics only placed a pathetic seven comics between spots 11 and 50. So, it is important not to get too carried away with DC Comics’ Top 10 performance in March 2025. The problems still run deep for DC Comics as they are still not a credible threat to Marvel Comics.

DC Comics placed fourteen comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were up from the thirteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2025.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as DC Comics had fifteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had nine comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

Nine of the fourteen comics that DC Comics had in the Top 50 were Absolute Universe titles. DC Comics would be dead in the water without the Absolute Universe.

DC Comics sales are down compared to two years ago. So, DC Comics still has plenty of work ahead of it when it comes to the Battle for the Top 50.

Image Comics placed two comics in the Top 50. Month-over-month sales were down from the three comics that Image Comics had in the Top 50 in February 2025.

The Hasbro franchise’s cooling off has hurt Image Comics in their performance in the Top 50.

The Battle for the Top 75

Based on historical numbers from the Comichron as well as projections through April 2022, the titles in the numbers 51-75 range typically sell in the 29,000 to 25,000 unit range.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-five comics in the Top 75 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had forty-six comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

Marvel Comics continues to look good in the Top 75 as numbers are up compared to two years ago and three years ago.

DC Comics placed twenty comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were down from the twenty-three comics that DC Comics had in the Top 75 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 75 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-two comics in the Top 75 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had sixteen comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

While DC Comics has rebounded from a bad 2024, the publisher is still down compared to two years ago.

Image Comics placed six comics in the Top 75. Month-over-month sales were up from the four comics that Image Comics had in the Top 75 in February 2025.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-seven comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as Marvel Comics had fifty-six comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

DC Comics placed twenty-eight comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were down from the thirty comics that DC Comics had in the Top 100 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as DC Comics had twenty comics in the Top 100 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-nine comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as DC Comics had twenty-seven comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

Things continue to look murky for DC Comics in the Battle for the Top 100. The numbers were up over a year ago. That is the good news. However, numbers are down compared to two years ago and barely up over three years ago. DC Comics seems to be stuck in the mud. The publisher cannot seem to become anything resembling even a remotely credible threat to Marvel Comics.

Image Comics placed nine comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were up from the eight comics that Image Comics had in the Top 100 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were down, as Image Comics had thirteen comics in the Top 100 in March 2024.

Numbers were flat from two years ago, as Image Comics had nine comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as Image Comics had twelve comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

Universal Monsters: The Mummy #1 debuted at the number 88 spot. This is weaker than the prior Universal Monster mini-series.

Bug Wars #2 crashed from the number 22 spot to the number 94 spot. This six-issue mini-series seems well on its way out of the Top 100 by the next issue. It looks like many readers were not hooked by what Jason Aaron had to offer.

Dynamite Entertainment placed two comics in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were flat from the two comics that Dynamite Entertainment had in the Top 100 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as Dynamite Entertainment had one comic in the Top 100 in March 2024.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as Dynamite Entertainment had zero comics in the Top 100 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as Dynamite Entertainment had zero comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

Herculoids #1 had a solid debut, taking the number 76 spot. This is far better than I anticipated for this old 1960s Hanna-Barbera property. I love the Herculoids, so I am glad to see this title got more love than I expected. This comes on the heels of the surprise success that Dynamite Entertainment had with another 1960s Hanna-Barbera property in Space Ghost. It is awesome to see that readers still have love for the great Alex Toth and his creations.

ThunderCats #13 rocketed up from the number 185 spot to the number 93 spot. What a massive rebound for this 1980s toy line. Amazingly, the ThunderCats is a Top 100 title over a year after it debuted.

IDW Publishing placed one comic in the Top 100. Month-over-month sales were down from the two comics that IDW Publishing had in the Top 100 in February 2025.

Year-over-year numbers were flat, as IDW Publishing had one comic in the Top 100 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as IDW Publishing had two comics in the Top 10 in March 2022.

The Joshua Williamson Award For The Writer With The Most Titles In The Top 50

Five writers had two issues from the same title in the Top 50.

Scott Snyder had two issues from the same title in Absolute Batman #6 at the number 3 spot and Absolute Batman #5 at the number 48 spot.

Jason Aaron had two issues from the same title in Absolute Superman #5 at the number 5 spot and Absolute Superman #6 at the number 18 spot.

Kelly Thompson had two issues from the same title in Absolute Wonder Woman #6 at the number 6 spot and Absolute Wonder Woman #5 at the number 28 spot.

Joe Kelly had two issues from the same title in Amazing Spider-Man #70 at the number 11 spot and Amazing Spider-Man #69 at the number 13 spot.

Jonathan Hickman had two issues from the same title in Ultimate Spider-Man #15 at the number 7 spot and Ultimate Spider-Man #14 at the number 30 spot.

Two writers had two issues from different titles in the Top 50.

Oh damn! Look who is back! Jeph Loeb had two issues from different titles in Batman #158 at the number 1 spot and Batman: The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween #6 at the number 49 spot. It is pretty cool to see the old classic team of Loeb and Lee scoring the number 1 spot in the sales chart.

Deniz Camp had two issues from different titles in Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 at the number 4 spot and Ultimates #10 at the number 16 spot.

Three writers had three issues from different titles in the Top 50.

Ryan North had three issues from different titles in One World Under Doom #2 at the number 8 spot, Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 at the number 12 spot, and Fantastic Four #30 at the number 31 spot.

Gail Simone had three issues from different titles in Uncanny X-Men #11 at the number 14 spot and Uncanny X-Men #12, Uncanny X-Men #12 at the number 22 spot, and X-Manhunt Omega #1 at the number 22 spot.

However, two writers ruled above all others with four issues from different titles in the Top 50!

Al Ewing had four issues from different titles in Absolute Green Lantern #1 at the number 10 spot, All-New Venom #5 at the number 39 spot, All-New Venom #4 at the number 40 spot, and Immortal Thor #21 at the number 46 spot.

Jed MacKay had four issues from different titles in X-Men #13 at the number 20 spot, Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #6 at the number 29 spot, X-Men #14 at the number 33 spot, and Avengers #24 at the number 38 spot.

Since we have a tie, we get to go to a tiebreaker! Ewing’s four comics in the Top 50 averaged the number 34 spot. MacKay’s four comics in the Top 50 averaged the number 30 spot.

Therefore, the winner of the Joshua Williamson Award for March 2025 is…Jed MacKay! For like the zillionth time.

Unranked: Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1 (DC Comics)

DC X Sonic the Hedgehog #1 had a nice debut at the number 19 spot. This five-issue mini-series has a good shot of being a strong seller for DC Comics.

Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #1 had a serviceable debut, taking the number 25 spot.

Peacemaker Presents the Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature! #1 had an awful debut, taking the number 156 spot. This five-issue mini-series is dead on arrival. This is a comic nobody asked for. This is also further proof that success in a movie or TV show has nothing to do with the odds of having success in a comic book.

As usual, we will deal with the rest of these various issues in their respective franchise sections below.

Big Events

One World Under Doom

8 One World Under Doom #2

31 Fantastic Four #30 (Doom)

50 Doom’s Division #1 (Doom)

58 Iron Man #6 (Doom)

84 Red Hulk #2 (Doom)

96 Doom Academy #2 (Doom)

98 Red Hulk #1 (Resolicitation)

105 One World Under Doom #1 (Resolicitation)

131 Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2 (Doom)

152 Fantastic Four #29 (Resolicitation)

One World Under Doom had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse than in February 2025, when One World Under Doom had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

Marvel Comics cannot be thrilled that their new Big Event comic got its ass beat by a horde of Absolute Universe titles. But at least it still managed to stay in the Top 10.

The story is worse for all of the tie-in comics. None of them has performed particularly well.

Doom Academy #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 21 spot to the number 96 spot. Readers were not impressed with what Mackenzie Cadenhead had to offer in the debut issue of this comic.

X-Manhunt

14 Uncanny X-Men #11 (X-Manhunt)

20 X-Men #13 (X-Manhunt)

36 Storm #6 (X-Manhunt)

41 NYX #9 (X-Manhunt)

45 X-Manhunt Omega #1 (X-Manhunt)

63 X-Factor #8 (X-Manhunt)

65 X-Force #9 (X-Manhunt)

X-Manhunt had zero comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

X-Manhunt Omega #1 had an unimpressive debut, barely making the Top 50 by taking the number 45 spot.

Hasbro Franchise

15 Transformers #18

32 GI Joe #5

53 Void Rivals #17

140 GI Joe A Real American Hero #315

192 Transformers #17 (Resolicitation)

Unranked: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Beach Head #1

Unranked: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Silent Missions Edition #21

The Hasbro franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was worse in the Top 10 and Top 25 but flat in the Top 50 than in February 2025, when the Hasbro franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were worse, as the Hasbro franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

The Hasbro franchise has cooled considerably compared to a year ago. Image Comics needs to get this franchise fired back up in the coming months.

Transformers #18 fell from the number 9 spot to the number 15 spot. The merciless onslaught of Absolute Universe titles finally drove Transformers outside of the Top 10 for the first time.

GI Joe #5 fell from the number 20 spot to the number 32 spot. Image Comics cannot be pleased to see this once-red-hot title falling outside of the Top 25.

Void Rivals #17 fell from the number 41 spot to the number 53 spot. This title continues to struggle to stay in the Top 50 consistently.

GI Joe: A Real American Hero #315 climbed from the number 158 spot to the number 140 spot. This is the second consecutive month this title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Beach Head #1 had a horrendous debut, failing to make the Top 200 and coming in unranked. Reader interest in these “silent” issues appears to be muted.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero – Silent Missions Edition #21 also debuted unranked. This is not a surprise since this was just a reprint of the classic G.I. Joe #21 from 1984.

Spawn Franchise

71 Spawn #362

147 Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #4

176 King Spawn #43

178 Gunslinger Spawn #41

Spawn #362 ticked up from the number 78 spot to the number 71 spot. This is the second consecutive month that Spawn and climbed in the rankings.

Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #4 fell from the number 131 spot to the number 147 spot. Gunslinger Spawn #41 fell from the number 147 spot to the number 178 spot. This title continues its fall from its debut at the number 67 spot.

King Spawn #43 fell from the number 145 spot to the number 176 spot. This is the second straight month this title has fallen in the rankings.

Spawn Violator #6 climbed from the number 194 spot to the number 180 spot. With this issue, this six-issue mini-series has concluded. Spawn Violator was not a sales hit, but at least it ended in a positive sales direction.

Rat City #12 fell from the number 193 spot and out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. The strange choice of Erica Schultz as the writer continues to be a bad idea.

The Scorched #39 was unranked for the second consecutive month.

Both Sam and Twitch: Case Files #11 and Sam and Twitch: Case Files #12 went unranked. This makes it three straight months this title has been unranked.

Ghost Machine Titles

87 Geiger #12

120 Hyde Street #4

129 Redcoat #10

183 Hyde Street #5

Unranked: The Rocketfellers #4

Unranked: Hornsby & Halo #5

Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50. This was flat compared to February 2025, when Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were flat, as Ghost Machine had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Geiger #12 fell from the number 69 spot to the number 87 spot. This is the second consecutive month that Geiger has dropped in the rankings.

Hyde Street #4 plummeted from the number 79 spot to the number 120 spot. Hyde Street #5 then fell to the number 183 spot. This erased the excellent sales bump that Hyde Street had experienced in January 2025.

Redcoat #10 climbed from the number 140 spot to the number 129 spot. This is the second straight month that Redcoat has risen in the rankings.

The Rocketfellers #4 fell from the number 161 spot and out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. And thus ends The Rocketfellers’ sole month ranked in the Top 200.

Hornsby & Halo #5 was unranked for the fifth consecutive month.

Star Wars Franchise

27 Star Wars: Jedi Knights #1 (Marvel Comics)

70 Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #2 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi #2 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #2 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #16 (Dark Horse Comics)

Unranked: Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #2 (Dark Horse Comics)

The Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2025, when the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were down as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Star Wars franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Star Wars: Jedi Knights #1 had an unimpressive debut, failing to make the Top 25 and coming in at the number 27 spot. This new title is set in the Prequel Era. I love that the solicitation leads with the characters that readers care about, like Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda, and Qui-Gon. But then adds that it also stars new Jedi “sure to become fan favorites.” That is hilarious because I am sure those new characters will be as unpopular as every character Disney has created for Star Wars.

Given the soft debut number, I would expect Star Wars: Jedi Knights to drop out of the Top 50 in short order. But maybe Marc Guggenheim has something cool in store for readers, and this title manages to buck the current trend of Star Wars titles dying in the sales rankings.

Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 19 spot to the number 70 spot. Not even the branding of Vader and the writing skills of Charles Soule can get readers interested in Kylo Ren. No surprise here.

Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi #2 fell like a dead duck from the number 120 spot and right out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. I mean, can anyone outside of Marvel Comics editorial or the Lucasfilm Story Group be surprised by this? Nothing associated with the High Republic banner has ever sold well. And nothing written by Cavan Scott has ever sold well. This is a tag team of awfulness.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #2 fell from the number 163 spot and right out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. There is zero reader interest in a comic book adaptation of the Disney Star Wars trilogy.

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #16 was unranked for the zillionth month. Daniel Older continues to do what he does best.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories – The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents #2 cratered, falling from the number 134 spot and right out of the Top 200 to end up unranked.

The Star Wars franchise is in smoldering ruins. I see no reason to think this will change anytime soon.

144 Amazing Spider-Man #68 (Resolicitation)

148 Miles Morales: Spider-Man #32

198 Spider-Boy #18

Unranked: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #4

The Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2025, when the Spider-Man franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were down by a wide margin, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and thirteen comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were also down from two years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and ten comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Spider-Man franchise had three comics in the Top 10, eight comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Numbers are down across the board as the Spider-Man franchise has remained ice-cold outside of Peter Parker’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man.

Amazing Spider-Man #69 took the number 13 spot. Amazing Spider-Man #70 took the number 11 spot. This was a unique month! Normally, the second issue of a title sells worse than the first issue. However, that did not happen in March 2025, as Amazing Spider-Man #70 outsold Amazing Spider-Man #69. Shipping a second issue later in the sales month is not always a death sentence.

This was better than February 2025, when Amazing Spider-Man #67 took the number 11 spot, Amazing Spider-Man #68 took the number 16 spot, and Amazing Spider-Man #68.1 8 Deaths of Spider-Man took the number 34 spot.

Spectacular Spider-Men #13 fell from the number 74 spot to the number 110 spot. This title continues to struggle to stay out of the Dead Titles Walking category.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #4 crashed and burned, falling from the number 140 spot and out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. This title has managed to go from debuting at the number 54 spot to being unranked by just the fourth issue. This is no surprise. Nobody outside of Disney is interested in this cringe-inducing version of Spider-Man.

Let’s check out the knock-off Spider-Men.

Web of Spider-Verse: New Blood #1 had a mid-debut, barely making the Top 50 by taking the number 44 spot. This one-shot performed close to what I expected.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #31 fell from the number 70 spot to the number 78 spot. This is the same spot in the rankings that Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26 had in November 2024.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #32 fell from the number 78 spot to the number 148 spot. This title should be able to rebound back into the Top 100 with the next issue. However, it looks like cracking back into the Top 75 may be too much to ask for from this title.

Spider-Boy #17 fell from the number 115 spot to the number 142 spot. Spider-Boy #18 then fell to the number 198 spot. This title should have a rebound with the next issue, but I would not expect it to escape the Dead Titles Walking category.

Let’s check out the lady of the Spiderverse.

Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #11 fell from the number 81 spot to the number 101 spot. Thus ended this title’s one-month reprive from the Dead Titles Walking category.

Let’s wrap things up with the Venomverse.

All-New Venom #4 fell from the number 31 spot to the number 40 spot. All-New Venom #5 ticked up from the number 40 spot to the number 39 spot. This was interesting. All-New Venom shipped two issues in this five-week month, but the second issue performed better in the rankings than the first issue. Again, more proof that shipping two issues in a five-week month does not automatically mean the second issue will not perform well.

Eddie Brock: Carnage #2 fell like a wounded bird, crashing from the number 12 spot to the number 77 spot. Ouch. Readers were not excited about this mantle-swap Carnage. This four-issue mini-series can still finish in the Top 100, but it is not going to be easy.

The X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and fifteen comics in the Top 50. This was worse than in February 2025, when the X-Men franchise had two comics in the Top 10, six comics in the Top 25, and eighteen comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were down in the Top 10 and Top 25 but up in the Top 50 as the X-Men franchise had two comics in the Top 10, eight comics in the Top 25, and twelve comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as the X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as the X-Men franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Let’s start with the three “flagship” core team titles.

Uncanny X-Men #11 ticked up from the number 15 spot to the number 14 spot. Uncanny X-Men #12 then fell to the number 22 spot. This is the lowest that we have seen Uncanny X-Men in the sales rankings. Also, this marks the third consecutive month that Uncanny X-Men has sold outside of the Top 10.

X-Men #13 ticked up from the number 24 spot to the number 20 spot. X-Men #14 then fell to the number 33 spot. This is the lowest that we have seen X-Men in the sales rankings.

Exceptional X-Men #7 dropped from the number 29 spot to the number 47 spot. This is the lowest we have seen this title in the sales rankings. It is no surprise that Exceptional X-Men is the weakest-selling of the three main X-Men franchise titles. There is a good chance this title drops out of the Top 50 with the next issue.

Let’s check out all of the secondary team titles.

NYX #9 climbed from the number 75 spot to the number 41 spot. The power of the X-Manhunt big event story did manage to pull NYX up in the sales rankings before its impending cancellation. This is why Marvel Comics loves big event stories that run through multiple titles.

X-Factor #8 dipped from the number 58 spot to the number 63 spot. This is the fourth straight issue to sell outside of the Top 50. I am not surprised, as I did not expect Mark Russell to have big sales success. We already know that Marvel Comics is canceling this title with issue #10.

X-Force #9 ticked up from the number 66 spot to the number 65 spot. X-Force will be canceled with the next issue.

Weapon X-Men #2 completely cratered, falling from the number 28 spot to the number 112 spot. Brutal. Marvel Comics is flooding the market with too many X-Men franchise titles at this point.

Let’s hop over to the dudes of the X-Men franchise.

Wolverine #7 fell from the number 18 spot to the number 24 spot. This is the lowest ranking this title has had since it debuted. This is also the third consecutive month that this title has dropped in the rankings. I am sure Marvel Comics does not want to see Wolverine outside of the Top 25.

Wolverine: Revenge – Red Band #5 fell from the number 26 spot to the number 51 spot. What a surprise and sudden drop for this five-issue mini-series right at its conclusion. Given how well this mini-series sold, I did not foresee it concluding outside of the Top 50.

Deadpool/Wolverine #3 dropped from the number 26 spot to the number 55 spot. This was a large drop for this five-issue mini-series. Marvel Comics overestimated how many Wolverine and Deadpool titles they could flood the market with at one time.

Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash ‘Em Up #1 had a horrendous debut, taking the number 153 spot. This is the first time that the Deadpool vs. Wolverine Infinity Comic was published in print. Not many readers were that interested in it.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time #1 had an average debut at the number 34 spot. We shall see if the market can support another Deadpool title with this five-issue mini-series.

Deadpool #12 fell from the number 42 spot to the number 75 spot. This ended this title’s one-month stint in the Top 50. Deadpool #13 then fell from the number 75 spot to the number 135 spot. Four of the past five issues of Deadpool have sold outside of the Top 50.

Unlike All-New Venom, Deadpool does not have the readership to score a higher sales ranking with its second issue in the five-week month.

Pooluminati #1 had an awful debut, coming in at the number 118 spot. This one-shot was a dud.

Cable: Love and Chrome #3 plummeted from the number 95 spot to the number 162 spot. Oof. This five-issue mini-series is going to struggle to remain in the Top 200 by its conclusion.

Sabretooth: The Dead Don’t Talk #4 fell from the number 155 spot to the number 181 spot. This five-issue mini-series is at risk of concluding unranked.

Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the X-Men franchise.

Magik #3 dipped from the number 13 spot to the number 17 spot. Don’t worry about the story. It is nothing great. Germán Peralta’s artwork remains the single reason to purchase this title. It is awesome.

Storm #6 dipped from the number 30 spot to the number 36 spot. Wow. The fact that Storm is still a Top 50 title by the sixth issue, given that Marvel Comics placed a no-name writer on this comic, is amazing! This is the best we have seen a Storm title perform in the sales charts.

Psylocke #5 dipped from the number 35 spot to the number 37 spot. Psylocke #6 then plummeted to the number 100 spot. Psylocke does not have the readership that All-New Venom has, where the second issue was able to outperform the first issue in a five-week month.

Rogue: The Savage Land #3 ticked up from the number 44 spot to the number 43 spot. It is great to see that this title arrested its fall between the first and second issues.

Laura Kinney: Wolverine #4 fell from the number 46 spot to the number 69 spot. I predicted that this title would drop out of the Top 50 with this issue. It now looks like this title is destined to slip out of the Top 75 in short order. We all knew this was going to happen. X-23 has never been a strong seller, and putting Erica Schultz on this title doomed its chances of being a strong seller.

Phoenix #9 dropped from the number 38 spot to the number 72 spot. This ended the one-month stint back in the Top 50. This is also the lowest sales ranking for Phoenix. Are we about to see that patented sales crater that Stephanie Phillips is known for? We shall see.

190 Sam Wilson: Captain America #3

200 Nick Fury Vs. Fin Fang Foom #1

The Avengers franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2025, when the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were down as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Avengers franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Avengers #24 ticked down from the number 32 spot to the number 38 spot. This title continues to bob up and down in the Top 50.

West Coast Avengers #5 fell from the number 102 spot to the number 113 spot. West Coast Avengers #6 climbed to the number 103 spot. Again, we have a second title this month, in addition to All-New Venom, which had its second issue in a five-week month perform better than the first issue.

Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2 plummeted from the number 61 spot to the number 131 spot. This was no surprise given the soft debut number for this title. Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly continue their streak of delivering titles that sell like garbage.

Let’s check out the hombres of the Avengers franchise.

Immortal Thor #21 climbed from the number 56 spot to the number 46 spot. This was the same ranking Immortal Thor #19 had in January 2025. Immortal Thor #22 then fell to the number 106 spot. This is the lowest sales ranking for Immortal Thor to this point.

Incredible Hulk #23 held steady at the number 54 spot, which was the same ranking that Incredible Hulk #22 had in February 2025. Points for consistency.

Iron Man #6 climbed from the number 91 spot to the number 58 spot. This title is impossible to predict, given its erratic performance in the sales rankings. Here are Iron Man’s rankings over the first six issues. 8, 65, 63, 47, 91, and 58. We shall see if this title eventually reaches some sort of firm footing in the rankings soon. What we do know is that Iron Man has been a sales disappointment ever since scoring an impressive number 8 spot debut.

Red Hulk #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 27 spot to the number 88 spot. Damn. I thought that, given Benjamin Percy’s sales success in the past, this title would drop this dramatically. I was wrong. Let’s see if this title can avoid falling into the Dead Titles Walking category next month.

Sam Wilson: Captain America #3 fell like a dead duck from the number 84 spot to the number 190 spot. That is just brutal. First, this guy’s movie is a massive disappointment in the box office, and now his comic book. This title has been a sales failure with the first issue. Sam Wilson: Captain America is going to have to struggle to stay in the Top 200 next month. We all saw this coming. Nobody outside of Marvel Comics editorial wants a Sam Wilson Captain America comic book.

Nick Fury vs. Fin Fang Foom #1. This one-shot from JMS was a massive sales dud. Too bad. I like both the real Nick Fury and Fin Fang Foom. But, JMS as the writer made me skip this issue.

Let’s end with the only lady from the Avengers franchise.

Scarlet Witch #10 fell from the number 71 spot to the number 95 spot. This title continues to bounce around this part of the sales rankings.

Fantastic Four Franchise

8 One World Under Doom #2

12 Godzilla Vs. Fantastic Four #1

31 Fantastic Four #30 (Doom)

50 Doom’s Division #1 (Doom)

96 Doom Academy #2 (Doom)

105 One World Under Doom #1 (Resolicitation)

152 Fantastic Four #29 (Resolicitation)

197 Fantastic Four Facsimile Edition #1 (2025 Printing)

Unranked: Namor #8

The Fantastic Four franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2025, when the Fantastic Four franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50.

One World Under Doom #2 dropped from the number 2 spot to the number 8 spot. This is lower than usual for a Marvel Comics Big Event title. We shall see if this big event can muscle its way past some of the Absolute Universe titles dominating the Top 10.

Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 had an excellent debut, taking the number 12 spot. This issue was powered by seven open order covers, two reprint covers, and two incentive covers. My favorite cover is the James Harren cover, done in the style of the old Marvel Comics Godzilla, King of the Monsters comic from 1977-1979.

Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1 is the first of six one-shots dealing with Godzilla vs the Marvel Universe. As a big Godzilla fan, I am excited to see how the other one-shots perform in the sales ranking.

Fantastic Four #30 climbed from the number 52 spot to the number 31 spot. This is still lower than Fantastic Four #28, the last issue before One World Under Doom debuted, which took the number 22 spot in January 2025. It is unusual to see Fantastic Four selling worse during the One World Under Doom big event than it did before the start of the big event.

Doom’s Division #1 had an impressive debut at the number 50 spot. This title stars the Tiger Division, which is a team of characters that has never had sales success in the past.

Doom Academy #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 21 spot to the number 96 spot. This is no surprise. This title is written by a no-name writer in MacKenzie Cadenhead and stars a weird collection of D-list characters. I figured this title was going to fall off the sales cliff. I am unsure why any Marvel Comics editor would have greenlit this comic. This five-issue mini-series has a tough road ahead of it.

Namor #8 plummeted from the number 170 spot and right out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. This is the third time in eight issues that Namor has been unranked. For a comic book with a “big name” writer like Jason Aaron, Namor has been an epic sales failure. What an embarrassment for Marvel Comics. The sins of Jason Aaron’s Punisher are coming home to roost.

The Ultimate Universe

7 Ultimate Spider-Man #15

66 Ultimate Black Panther #14

85 Ultimate Wolverine #2 (Resolicitation)

130 Ultimate X-Men #12 (Resolicitation)

170 Ultimate Wolverine #1 (Resolicitation)

The Ultimate Universe had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2025, when the Ultimate Universe had three comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up/down/flat as the Ultimate Universe had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Ultimate Spider-Man #15 dipped from the number 6 spot to the number 7 spot. This Peter Parker title continues to be the crown jewel of the Ultimate Universe.

Ultimate Wolverine #3 fell from the number 4 spot to the number 9 spot. This title continues to be a sales beast!

Ultimates #10 fell from the number 5 spot to the number 16 spot. This is the first time that Ultimates has failed to make the Top 10 when it only shipped one issue in the sales month. Is this a momentary blip due to the Absolute Universe titles laying waste to everything in their path, or is this the sign of a first crack in the armor for the Ultimates? We shall see next month!

Ultimate X-Men #13 dipped from the number 32 spot to the number 35 spot. Ultimate X-Men #14 then fell to the number 59 spot. The days of Ultimate X-Men being a Top 25 seller are definitely behind it. But, it has a good chance of rebounding back into the Top 50 with the next issue.

Ultimate Black Panther #14 dropped from the number 37 spot to the number 66 spot. Ultimate Black Panther continues to be the lowest-ranked Ultimate Universe title. This is also the only Ultimate Universe title that did not have a resolicited issue in the Top 200.

The Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50. This was worse than in February 2025, when the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up in the Top 10 and Top 25 but down in the Top 50 as the Batman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and five comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were down from three years ago, as the Batman franchise had two comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

The Batman franchise is down compared to two or three years ago. Right now, there are only two Batman franchise titles in the Top 50. Both titles star Bruce Wayne and are based on old stories from the 1990s and early 2000s. None of this is good news for DC Comics. Readers remain uninterested in anything outside of Bruce Wayne’s flagship titles.

All right, let’s kick things off with the Bruce Wayne titles.

Batman #158 bare knuckle brawled its way past the horde of Absolute Universe titles and took the coveted number 1 spot. It is tough to bet against the iconic team of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.

Batman: The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween #6 dipped from the number 40 spot to the number 49 spot. This ten-issue mini-series still has a chance of concluding in the Top 50. But, it is going to need to make a rally next month.

Detective Comics #1095 ticked up from the number 57 spot to the number 52 spot. Tom Taylor continues to sell worse than Ram V did on this title. This writer swap has not worked out for DC Comics to this point.

Batman Full Moon #4 climbed from the number 137 spot to the number 62 spot. With this issue, this four-issue mini-series has concluded. This was a strong last-minute rally by Batman Full Moon to conclude in the Top 75.

Batman Dark Patterns #4 fell from the number 55 spot to the number 89 spot. This twelve-issue mini-series looks like it’s headed for the Dead Titles Walking category.

Batman and Robin Year One #6 fell from the number 47 spot to the number 68 spot. This twelve-issue mini-series appears to be headed toward falling out of the Top 75 with the next issue or two.

Batman and Robin #19 plummeted from the number 85 spot to the number 126 spot. The All-In initiative writer swap on this title has been an unmitigated failure to this point.

Batman Superman World’s Finest #37 dipped from the number 65 spot to the number 73 spot. This title used to be a consistent Top 50 seller. Now, it is running the risk of falling out of the Top 75 next month.

Let’s check out the lone Bat-boy title.

Nightwing #124 dropped from the number 64 spot to the number 83 spot. This is the lowest in the rankings that we have seen this title in a long time. This was another consistent Top 50 seller for DC Comics.

Let’s slide over to the ladies of the Batman franchise.

Batgirl #5 plummeted from the number 50 spot to the number 91 spot. This ends this title’s one-month stint in the Top 50. Batgirl #6 then fell to the number 174 spot. Tate Brombal continues to struggle with this new title.

Poison Ivy #31 crashed from the number 53 spot to the number 99 spot. Poison Ivy #32 then fell to the number 194 spot. This title continues to deliver uneven performances in the Top 200 over the past year.

Birds of Prey #19 fell from the number 97 spot to the number 131 spot. This ended this title’s one-month reprieve from the Dead Titles Walking category. Birds of Prey #20 ended up falling out of the Top 200 and going unranked. We all knew this was going to happen with this title since Kelly Thompson has never had any sales success outside of Absolute Wonder Woman.

Harley Quinn Fartacular Silent Butt Deadly had a horrendous debut at the number 159 spot. This one-shot from Joanne Starer was a total sales dud.

Harley Quinn #49 ticked up from the number 196 spot to the number 185 spot. Elliot Kalan continues to deliver awful sales numbers that rival what Tini Howard delivered on this title.

Catwoman #74 plummeted from the number 113 spot to the number 163 spot. Torunn Grønbekk continues to deliver terrible sales rankings that rival what Tini Howard attained on this title.

Let’s conclude with the sole villain title.

Two-Face #4 fell from the number 130 spot to the number 195 spot. Two-Face #5 fell out of the Top 200 and was unranked. This six-issue mini-series will have to mount a serious rally to conclude ranked in the Top 200 with its final issue.

157 Superman The Last Days of Lex Luthor #2(Of 3)

172 Superman #23 (Resolicitation)

Unranked: Power Girl #19

The Superman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2025, when the Superman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up in the Top 10 and Top 25 but flat in the Top 50 as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down by a wide margin from two years ago, as the Superman franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as the Superman franchise had one comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Superman #24 fell from the number 51 spot to the number 61 spot. Superman has now sold outside of the Top 50 in four of the past five issues. This is terrible news for DC Comics, who desperately need the Superman franchise to be a consistent Top 50 seller.

Action Comics #1084 plummeted from the number 76 spot to the number 109 spot. John Ridley is completely floundering on this title, like he has done on every superhero comic he has ever written. Action Comics used to be a Top 50 seller before Ridley came aboard.

DC Comics cannot afford to have its flagship titles not make the Top 50 every month. This is why Marvel Comics is pummelling DC Comics so badly in the Top 50. Because DC Comics cannot get any of their franchise to sell well outside of the Absolute Universe and Bruce Wayne.

Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor #2 fell from the number 109 spot to the number 157 spot. That is not that bad considering the first issue of this three-issue mini-series came out almost two years ago in July 2023.

Power Girl #19 was unranked for the second consecutive month. Kara is such a great character and deserves so much more than this. It is beyond time for DC Comics to correct its mistake and replace Leah Williams on this title.

The Justice League franchise had four comics in the Top 10, five comics in the Top 25, and seven comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2025, when the Justice League franchise had one comic in the Top 10, four comics in the Top 25, and six comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were up from two years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Numbers were up from three years ago, as the Justice League franchise had zero comics in the Top 50 in March 2022.

Let’s start with the team titles.

Justice League Unlimited #5 ticked up from the number 25 spot to the number 23 spot. This title continues to be a gem for DC Comics.

Justice League The Atom Project #3 fell from the number 103 spot to the number 171 spot. Justice League: The Atom Project #4 then fell out of the Top 200 and was unranked. This six-issue mini-series has been a huge sales disappointment.

Secret Six #1 had a brutal debut at the number 90 spot. Secret Six #2 then fell out of the Top 200 and was unranked. What an embarrassing start for this six-issue limited series. We all knew this was going to happen since DC Comics editorial hired a Hollywood actor in Nicole Maines. Hiring actors to write superhero comics always leads to sales failure. Maines has also had no sales success in the past. I have no idea why DC Comics editorial thought this was a good idea.

JSA #5 fell from the number 68 spot to the number 114 spot. JSA #6 then fell to the number 179 spot. This title may now be trapped in the Dead Titles Walking category. We shall see.

Let’s hop over to the Green Lantern franchise.

Green Lantern Corps #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 23 spot to the number 80 spot. This title is now outside of the Top 75 with just its second issue. I am not that surprised, given that none of the characters on this roster have ever sold well.

Green Lantern #21 dropped from the number 114 spot to the number 128 spot. This is the third consecutive month that this title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category. There is no excuse for that to happen with a franchise with a pedigree like Green Lantern. The new All-In Initiative direction for this title, with the addition of Kyle Rayner, has blown up in DC Comics’ face.

Let’s check out the fellas of the Justice League franchise.

Aquaman #3 dropped from the number 60 spot to the number 79 spot. And with just the third issue, this title is outside of the Top 75. This is another sign of DC Comics’ eternal problem of not being able to make any of their franchises outside of Bruce Wayne titles and the Absolute Universe consistent sales hits.

Green Arrow #22 fell from the number 178 spot to the number 193 spot. What a disaster this title has become. Green Arrow is now at risk of being unranked next month, which is something that should never happen.

The Flash #19 fell from the number 185 spot and out of the Top 200 and was unranked. This is unacceptable and should be a five-alarm fire over at DC Comics. It is insane that The Flash should ever go unranked. DC Comics has completely bungled the handling of this franchise. DC Comics needs to fire Simon Spuerrier from this comic ASAP and then bring back Barry Allen. This current creative team and direction have been an abject failure.

Black Lightning #5 fell from the number 195 spot and out of the Top 200 rankings to end up unranked. Black Lightning has been unranked for two of its five issues. This has been a total sales disaster. Brandon Thomas does not know what he is doing. Having Jefferson Pierce not be the star of the show was a bad idea. This title concludes with the next issue. We shall see if it can manage to sneak back into the Top 200.

Shazam! #21 fell from the number 166 spot and out of the Top 200 and was unranked. Josie Campbell took over as writer with Shazam! #10. Since that point, this title has been unranked for six of her eleven issues. The five issues that were ranked were all in the Dead Titles Walking category. What is DC Comics doing? It is beyond time to fire Campbell and put a writer who knows how to write mainstream superhero titles on Shazam. It is stuff like this that makes it seem like DC Comics editorial is asleep at the wheel.

Metamorphosis: The Element Man #4 was unranked for the second consecutive month. Al Ewing has completely whiffed with this title.

Let’s wrap up with the ladies of the Justice League franchise.

Zatanna #2 crashed from the number 17 spot to the number 42 spot. That is a bigger drop than I expected for this six-issue limited series, given its strong debut number. Jamal Campbell failed to get many readers to return for more. We shall see if my favorite female Justice Leaguer can stay in the Top 50 next month.

Wonder Woman #19 plummeted from the number 45 spot to the number 82 spot. Woah! This was an unexpected big drop! This is the first time that this title has sold out of the Top 50. The last thing DC Comics can afford is for Wonder Woman to no longer even sell consistently in the Top 75.

Tom King’s writing turned me off this title from the start. It appears that King is beginning to shed even more readers. We shall see if this title can mount a rebound next month.

Black Canary Best of the Best #5 fell from the number 133 spot to the number 145 spot. This six-issue mini-series from Tom King continues to be a sales failure. This should conclude in the Dead Titles Walking category next month.

The Absolute Universe

2 Absolute Flash #1

3 Absolute Batman #6

4 Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 (Of 6)

5 Absolute Superman #5

6 Absolute Wonder Woman #6

10 Absolute Green Lantern #1

18 Absolute Superman #6

28 Absolute Wonder Woman #5 (Resolicitation)

48 Absolute Batman #5 (Resolicitation)

115 Absolute Batman #4 (Resolicitation)

133 Absolute Superman #4 (Resolicitation)

155 Absolute Batman #1 (Resolicitation)

The Absolute Universe had six comics in the Top 10, seven comics in the Top 25, and eight comics in the Top 50. This was better than February 2025, when the Absolute Universe had three comics in the Top 10, three comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50.

Absolute Flash #1 had a monster debut, taking the number 2 spot! The Absolute Universe continues to be a sales juggernaut. Jeff Lemire is a talented writer, so this title has a good shot of remaining a strong seller going forward.

Absolute Batman #6 dipped from the number 1 spot to the number 3 spot. This is the first time in November 2024 that Absolute Batman did not score the number 1 spot. I am positive that Absolute Batman will reassert its dominance in the Absolute Universe next month and move past Absolute Flash and regain the crown as the best-selling Absolute Universe title.

To no surprise, Absolute Batman continues to be the strongest-selling Absolute Universe title. Absolute Batman is the only Absolute Universe title with three resolicited issues in the Top 200. What is impressive is that the resolicitation for Absolute Batman #1 managed to make the Top 200, coming in at the number 155 spot. Incredible.

Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 had a fantastic debut, scoring the number 4 spot! Wow. These Absolute Universe titles just keep kicking ass in the sales chart. Deniz Camp is the writer for this six-issue limited series. I am not a big fan of Camp’s writing, and I was not a fan of this style of artwork in a mainstream superhero comic. So, while I am not going to be getting the rest of this six-issue limited series, I am sure it will sell very well.

Absolute Superman #5 ticked down from the number 3 spot to the number 5 spot. Absolute Superman #6 then fell to the number 18 spot. Aaron’s story has been a miss with me. But, I cannot deny the fact that most of you out there are loving this title, and it continues to be a massive sales success.

Absolute Wonder Woman #6 ticked up from the number 7 spot to the number 6 spot. This title continues to be a total sales monster!

Absolute Green Lantern #1 enjoyed an excellent debut, taking the number 10 spot. Al Ewing is the writer, and I run hot and cold with him. I found it odd that DC Comics would pick the character who has historically sold the worst of all the Green Lanterns to be the star of Absolute Green Lantern. I do not get DC Comics’ editorial’s logic with this choice. Hal Jordan or John Stewart would have made far more sense if generating sales had been the goal.

But who knows? The Absolute Universe is so hot that it has even given Kelly Thompson the first sales hit of her career. Maybe the same will happen with Absolute Green Lantern. I am not betting against any Absolute Universe title at this point!

All in all, the sales success of the Absolute Universe is insane! There were six different Absolute Universe titles in the Top 10! The Ultimate Universe has finally met its match. There is simply nothing hotter than the Absolute Universe at the moment.

Supernatural Comics

161 Saga of the Swamp Thing Facsimile Edition #37 (DC Comics)

168 Werewolf by Night Red Band #8 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1 (DC Comics)

Doctor Strange of Asgard #1 had an average debut at the number 26 spot. Derek Landy is the writer of this five-issue mini-series. We shall see if this title can remain in the Top 50 next month.

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #6 climbed from the number 48 spot to the number 29 spot. This title has heated back up over the past few months.

Hellverine #4 climbed from the number 118 spot to the number 97 spot. Hellverine #5 then fell to the number 104 spot. That is not that far off from the first issue of this five-week sales month.

Hellhunters #4 ticked down from the number 116 spot to the number 119 spot. I love the roster of characters, and I have been enjoying this five-issue mini-series. But, it seems I am in the minority, as many readers are passing on this title.

Werewolf by Night Red Band #8 fell from the number 132 spot to the number 168 spot. This title continues to struggle.

DC Vs Vampires World War V #7 plummeted from the number 70 spot to the number 138 spot. This title’s one-month escape from the Dead Titles Walking is over.

Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1 had a horrendous debut, coming in unranked. Brutal. Ram V looks to have another sales failure on his hands. I enjoyed the original Resurrection Man comic from Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning in the 1990s. But this latest offering of Resurrection Man was too slow and boring for me.

Cosmic Comics

57 New Gods #4 (Of 12) (DC Comics)

169 TVA #4 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: The Infinity Watch #3 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Challengers of the Unknown #4 (DC Comics)

New Gods #4 fell from the number 33 spot to the number 57 spot. This is the first time this twelve-issue limited series has sold outside the Top 50. This title has already exceeded my expectations for it in the sales rankings.

TVA #4 dropped from the number 154 spot to the number 169 spot. This five-issue mini-series is a lock to finish near the bottom of the Top 200.

The Infinity Watch #3 fell from the number 192 spot and out of the Top 200 and was unranked. No surprise here. This is a comic book targeting an audience that only exists in the minds of Marvel Comics’ editorial.

Challengers of the Unknown #4 fell from the number 162 spot and out of the Top 200 and was unranked. Welp. Once I saw that Christopher Cantwell was the writer for this six-issue limited series, I had a feeling that it would end up unranked at some point. This sucks. Challengers of the Unknown is such a cool Jack Kirby creation.

Legacy Character Comics

2 Absolute Flash #1

41 NYX #9 (X-Manhunt) (Marvel Comics)

83 Nightwing #124 (DC Comics)

91 Batgirl #5 (DC Comics)

Unranked: Power Girl #19 (DC Comics)

Unranked: Birds of Prey #20 (DC Comics)

Unranked: Teen Titans Go! #1 (DC Comics)

Unranked: Teen Titans Go! #2 (DC Comics)

There was one legacy character comic in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was worse than February 2025, when there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as there were zero legacy character comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Titans #21 fell from the number 104 spot to the number 116 spot. The All-In initiative creative team switch continues to be a complete failure on this title.

Ironheart: Bad Chemistry #1 had a horrendously embarrassing debut, failing to make the Top 200 and going unranked. This one-shot issue had everything going against it. It stars a character that nobody outside of Marvel Comics editorial is interested in, and it is written by university professor and novelist John Jennings. Jennings may be many things, but what he is not is a mainstream superhero comic book writer. This was one dumb idea slapped on another. Again, it is tough to understand the logic that Marvel Comics’ editorial employs when making some of its decisions.

151 Question All Along the Watchtower #5 (Of 6) (DC Comics)

190 Sam Wilson: Captain America #3 (Marvel Comics)

Unranked: Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur 10th Anniversary Special #1 (Marvel Comics)

There were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and two comics in the Top 50. This was better/worse/flat than February 2025, when there were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, one comic in the Top 25, and three comics in the Top 50.

Year-over-year numbers were up, as there were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, zero comics in the Top 25, and one comic in the Top 50 in March 2024.

Numbers were down from two years ago, as there were zero mantle swap comics in the Top 10, two comics in the Top 25, and four comics in the Top 50 in March 2023.

Daredevil: Unleash Hell – Red Band #3 climbed from the number 82 spot to the number 64 spot. This title has been erratic. We shall see if this title can remain in the Top 75 next month.

Question: All Along the Watchtower #5 fell from the number 111 spot to the number 151 spot. This title has been in the Dead Titles Walking category for three out of five issues. This is to be expected when you give readers the wrong Question.

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur 10th Anniversary Special #1 had a terrible debut, failing to make the Top 200 and going unranked. Wow. It has already been a decade, and still nobody cares about this character.

Marvel Comics beat DC Comics by a score of 10-6. DC Comics is trying to be competitive with Marvel Comics in this category, but it still is not enough. DC Comics is still too reliant on just Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman accounts for two of DC Comics’ three comics in the Top 50. Wonder Woman accounts for three of DC Comics’ six comics in the Top 100. Marvel Comics is simply able to generate far more sales success from a greater number of different female leads than DC Comics.

Marvel Comics beat DC Comics by a score of 5-2. Neither publisher is tearing it up in this category. And, as poor as DC Comics performed in March 2024, it was actually an improvement over how they have performed compared to a year, two years, and three years ago. Baby steps.

There continues to be a lack of diversity among the twelve characters in this category. Nine are Black characters, two are Asian, and one is Hispanic.

Power Man: Timeless #2 crashed and burned, falling from the number 94 spot and out of the Top 200 to end up unranked. We all knew this was going to happen. This is written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly. They keep doing what they do best. Luke Cage is a cool character. Too bad Marvel Comics didn’t pair him up with a quality writer.

The Tini Howard Award For The Writer With The Most Dead Titles Walking

Six writers had two issues from the same title in the Dead Titles Walking category.

Gerry Duggan had two issues with West Coast Avengers #6 at the number 103 spot and West Coast Avengers #5 at the number 113 spot.

Jeff Lemire had two issues with JSA #5 at the number 114 spot and JSA #6 at the number 179 spot.

Dan Slott had two issues with Spider-Boy #17 at the number 142 spot and Spider-Boy #18 at the number 198 spot.

Ryan Parrott had two issues with Justice League: The Atom Project #3 at the number 171 spot and Justice League: The Atom Project #4, which was unranked.

Kelly Thompson had two issues with Birds of Prey #19 at the number 121 spot and Birds of Prey #20, which was unranked

Christian Ward had two issues with Two-Face #4 at the number 195 spot and Two-Face #5, which was unranked.

Seven writers had two issues from different titles in the Dead Titles Walking category.

Phillip Kennedy Johnson had two issues with Hellhunters #4 at the number 119 spot and Batman and Robin #19 at the number 126 spot.

Steve Foxe had two issues with New Champions #3 at the number 141 spot and Alien: Paradiso #4 at the number 143 spot.

Cody Ziglar had two issues with Deadpool #13 at the number 135 spot and Miles Morales: Spider-Man #32 at the number 148 spot.

Jason Loo had two issues with Concert of Champions #1 at the number 149 spot and Werewolf by Night Red Band #8 at the number 168 spot.

Al Ewing had two issues with Immortal Thor #22 at the number 106 spot and Metamorphosis: The Element Man #4, which was unranked. Ewing made history as the first writer to be in the running for both the Joshua Williamson Award and the Tini Howard Award. Breaking new ground!

Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly had two issues with Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2 at the number 131 spot and Power Man: Timeless #2, which was unranked.

Christos Gage had two issues with Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash ‘Em Up #1 at the number 153 spot and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #4, which was unranked.

Since we have a seven-way tie, we have to go to a tiebreaker! The first tie-breaker is that a writer who has one of their titles going unranked wins. That eliminates Johnson, Foxe, Ziglar, and Loo.

This gives us a three-way tie between Ewing, Jackson/Lanzig, and Gage as they all had at least one comic that was unranked. The next tie-breaker is that the writer who had the lowest-ranked comic, along with the unranked comic, wins.

Therefore, the Tini Howard Award for March 2025 goes to…Christos Gage! Damn. I feel bad for Gage. I feel like he is getting jobbed with this award.

It was Marvel Comics’ editorial’s fault for flooding the market with a millionth Deadpool and Wolverine title. And it was Disney’s fault to come up with the hot mess of a cartoon in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Then it was Marvel Comics editorial’s fault for thinking Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man should be adapted into a comic book.

None of those were Gage’s decisions. But he took the job to be the writer for these two bad ideas, so he gets the award.

All right, that is it for March 2025. Will Marvel Comics continue its domination of the Top 200 in April 2025? We will find out. Until then, everyone stay safe and be good!
