Damn, this move. It has sapped my soul and my body. I took two days off from work on Monday and Tuesday so I could devote all my energy to the big push of finishing off this ridiculous move. There are few things I hate more than moving. And it really drives the point home just how much crap you have collected over the years in your house. And to top it all off, mi perro managed to bust loose and take off running through the streets of our new ‘hood. Luckily, my new neighbors dig dogs.

The Cable guys just left mi casa so I now have my wireless cable internet and cable TV up and running. Life is beginning to return back to normal. And that means I can get off my lazy ass and start doing something productive like reviewing comic books. This week is a pretty average week with a total of a total of 12 titles headed to the Bunker today. This week is slightly Marvel heavy. Unfortunately, it appears that this week has many titles that are pretty much dogs.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Tough choice. We have two absolute gems in Booster Gold #3 and Green Lantern #24. Booster Gold has been a fantastic read. I was hooked from the very beginning of the first issue. It appears that DC has finally given us a new title that is actually worth reading.

Even though I am excited for Booster Gold #3, I’m going to have to go with Green Lantern #24. The fact is that the Sinestro War is hands down the best storyline going on in both Marvel and DC. Green Lantern is white hot and I am like a crack head eagerly awaiting my next fix from Johns on this story.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Superman #668. Busiek has failed to really generate much excitement on this title. Superman certainly has been a weaker read compared to what Johns and Donner have given us over on Action Comics. Hopefully, this new story arc will revive my flagging interest in Superman.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This one is easy. Without a doubt, it has to be X-Factor #24. David continues to make X-Factor the best read out of all the X-titles on the market. The last issue gave us a sweet hook ending with Josef Huber’s villainous intent finally being revealed and our heroes being teleported to some arctic wasteland. There is no doubt that X-Factor #24 will once again be a great read.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Take your pick. Marvel is slinging out more crap-filled issues in one week that I have seen in a long time. You have Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #24 dealing with that truly horrid “One More Day” story arc. Then there is the always horrendous read in Ghost Rider #16. And you can’t forget Punisher War Journal #12. Fraction has been on a downward spiral on this title and this issue happens to sport an always boring World War Hulk tie-in story.

And while all of those issues are sure to be weak reads, I’m going to have to go with New Avengers #35. Bendis continues to stun and amaze me on this title. Bendis is a talented writer, yet he clearly has no clue how to handle a team concept such as the Avengers. New Avengers is certainly one of the slowest moving titles that also enjoys the additional feature of having no point or purpose.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
