All right, this week looks to be a rather average week with a total of 11 titles headed to the Bunker tomorrow. And, of course, I am STILL moving into my new house. Ugggh. There are very few things I hate more than moving. And of course, things always delay the process. I’m having the hardwood floors redone and the hardwood floor guys got delayed doing their work. And you can’t have movers walk on the floor for several days after the hardwood floors have been re-finished. And, I’m also having a wrought iron fence installed for mi perro and, yeah, you guessed it, the fence guys got delayed in their work.

So all of this has pushed back my move all together. Now, I’m hoping to be fully moved in and living at the new house by Tuesday next week. You know, I keep telling mi esposa that all I really need in this new house are my comic books and my video games and we are pretty much set. She seems to disagree. Anyway, I’ll try and post as many reviews this week as possible.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Honestly, not many titles coming out this week particularly excite me. The last issue of Countdown really impressed me, so I’m cautiously optimistic that Countdown #30 will be a good read. The Bizarro storyline over on Action Comics is fun, but hasn’t really hooked me. Detective Comics is always a solid read.

I’m going to have to go with Countdown Search for Ray Palmer Crime Society #1. This plotline made the last issue of Countdown an exciting read. Sean McKeever is writing the issue and I was really impressed with his work last week on Countdown and Teen Titans.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Nightwing #137. This title isn’t terrible, but it certainly isn’t anything particularly great. Nightwing continues to be rather bland read. And this is especially disappointing given the empty promises that Dan “Deathcount” Didio trumpeted at the end of Infinite Crisis that DC was going to make a concerted effort to grow Dick’s character and make him one of the central figures in this new DCU. I’m still waiting, DC.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Well, with only three titles from Marvel this week, there really isn’t much to choose from. Obviously, I’m going with Uncanny X-Men #491. Brubaker is working is usual magic on this title and is finally delivering an X-Men title worth getting excited about.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Wolverine Annual Deathsong #1. As a general rule, Annuals usually are notoriously weak reads that are nothing but pure filler. I have no reason to believe that I’m going to get anything special with this Wolverine Annual.

I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
