The Bunker has been in a football induced haze over the past weekend as both the NFL and college football have gotten underway. I am a football addict and it is wonderful to stretch out on the sofa armed with plenty of food and various cold beverages while I proceed to watch college football all day Saturday and the NFL games all day Sunday. Life is good.

It looks like we are getting back-to-back small weeks here at The Revolution. We have only 9 titles headed to the Bunker this Wednesday. It is a rare week when The Revolution’s weekly shipment is only in the single digits. And this offering of comic books this week hardly gets me excited. It looks like we are in store for another “blah” week.

Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Honestly? None of the titles from DC really get me that excited. I guess since I have to pick one I will go ahead and go with Booster Gold #12. This title is normally a dependable read and I am looking forward to ending Dixon’s guest appearance on this title so that we can begin the Jurgens era on Booster Gold in earnest.

Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Trinity #15. This title continues to be a bit of a shallow read. Busiek is delivering a stiff story that has a paint-by-numbers feel to it.

Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? I am interested in Big Hero Six #1. I dig anything related to Japan. I love manga, anime, Sentai and Kaiju so it is only natural that this Sentai inspired comic book would grab my attention. I hope that Claremont is able to deliver an entertaining read that retains a fun Sentai flavor to it.

However, the Marvel comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Secret Invasion #6. Sure, The Revolution has been less than impressed with Bendis’ one-dimensional story on this big event. But, who doesn’t get pumped up over an issue that has Iron Man, Thor and Captain America re-united and ready to kick some Skrull ass? It has been a long time since we saw these three big guns of the 616 universe together and fighting on the same side. This issue has the potential to be an action packed and exciting read.

Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That is an easy choice. Amazing Spider-Man #571. This title continues to be a dog. My childhood loyalty and love for Spider-Man is truly being put to the test with what Marvel is currently doing with Amazing Spider-Man.

As always, I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.
