Back in August BOOM! Studios made the announcement of Power Rangers Prime launching this November. The new series begins a new era for the Power Rangers franchise is a will be handled by the Recharged Era and Darkest Hour writer Melissa Flores. Flores will be joined by artist Michael YG (Iron Fist), colorist Fabi Marques, and letterer Ed Dukeshire. Now ahead of its November release BOOM! Studios has provided us with a preview with new pages from the first issue.
As we saw in the first preview of Power Rangers Prime #1, we know that we’ll be following Lauren Shiba, the Red Samurai Power Ranger, as she is on the run from Eltarian. The reason why Lauren is on the run isn’t 100% known but we do see in the new preview that the Eltarian are the controlling power of Earth, and possibly the universe. As you’ll see in this preview, the series is taking place in a new timeline based on what we see in certain pages.
The new era for the franchise is further hinted at the solicitation for the first issue:
